  • Are transactions in SelfPay Now subject to fees?

    For Cash2Card deposits, the fee is 1.5% of the deposited amount, but no less than 5 RON per transaction.

    You can check the fee applied to the amount to be transferred from cash to card in Deposit → Calculate fee.

    Card to Card transfers remain free of charge.

  • Can I add any type of card in the app?

    In the app you can enroll only VISA or Mastercard cards issued by financial institutions in Romania.
    Also, the card must not already be registered in another account.

    Currently, WISE and Monese cards are not accepted in the SelfPay NOW app.

  • Can I increase the monthly transaction limit of 4,000 RON?

    The transaction limit is standard for all users and, according to current legal regulations, it cannot be changed.

    We recommend checking when the limit will reset directly from your account menu under “Transaction limits”.

  • How can I change the phone number used to create my SelfPay NOW account?

    If you want to change the phone number linked to your SelfPay NOW account, follow these steps:

    • Go to the SelfPay Now account menu;
    • Open the “My account” section;
    • Find the “Phone number” section and tap the edit button;
    • Enter the desired number and save the changes.
  • How can I delete a SelfPay Now account?

    The account can be deleted from the app as follows:

    • Log in to the app;
    • Open Menu ≡;
    • Go to My account;
    • Scroll to the bottom;
    • Tap “Delete account”;
    • Confirm deletion.

    Full data deletion is completed within 31 days, for technical reasons (including removal from backups).

  • How do I delete a card from an account?

    To delete a card, follow these steps:

    • Log in to the app;
    • Open Menu ≡;
    • Go to Cards;
    • Select the desired card;
    • Tap the delete icon 🗑 in the top-right corner and confirm “Delete card”.
  • I can’t add my card in the app. It says it’s already registered.

    This message indicates that the card is already linked to another SelfPay account.
    Please log in to that account and remove the card if you want to add it to a new account.

    Attention! A bank card cannot be enrolled over time in multiple different SelfPay Now accounts. Afterwards, that card will no longer be eligible for enrollment in another account for security reasons.

  • I no longer have access to the email address I used to create my account. What can I do?

    You can recover your account using the associated phone number, as follows:
    ▶️ Open the app;
    ▶️ Select “Account recovery” (at the bottom of the screen);
    ▶️ Enter your phone number;
    ▶️ Enter the code received by SMS;
    ▶️ Replace the email address with a new one;
    ▶️ Enter the code received on the new email address.

    The process is simple and only takes a few minutes.

  • What limits exist in the app?

    For topping up personal cards, there is a monthly limit of 8,000 RON / account, consisting of:

    • 4,000 RON Cash to Card deposits
    • 4,000 RON Card to Card transfers

    If you have multiple cards in the app, the limit remains per user account, not per card.

    The limit resets 30 days after the first successful transaction.

    You can check your limits anytime in the app under “Transaction limits”.
